AV Systems Designer – Delta AV

Delta AV Systems was chosen to design and build the AV systems for the new Pacific University Health Profession Campus in Hillsboro, OR.  Early in the project, Delta was under contract through the Architect for the development of the infrastructure, architectural coordination and systems design.  After the designs, details and budgets were developed and approved, Delta contracted directly with the University for the installation and integration of the systems.

The systems included a large classroom with dual projectors and a ‘smart lectern’  with an AMX touch panel and a document camera, 12 smaller classrooms with lecterns, projection systems and Extron MLS series controllers, and 8 ‘collaborative’ rooms which provides an LDC monitor connected to multiple connection points for students located around a table.  Some of the systems were installed by the owner with field supervision and engineering support from Delta AV.  Warranty support includes a one year, onsite support for all Delta workmanship and for devices provided by Delta AV Systems.

Upcoming projects for Pacific University include the installation of additional AV systems in HPC rooms that initially received infrastructure only, such as a distance education upgrade to the Pharmacy classroom.  Also, Delta was recently awarded a design/build contract to design, install, integrate and support the AV systems in a new education building on the Forest Grove Campus that will include a video conference equipped boardroom, and classrooms with multimedia presentation capabilities.
